What we publish?
Three Pillars Press publishes poetry pamphlets from emerging poets currently living in Ireland or with Irish heritage. Each pamphlet conists of 20-25 pages of poetry. Ours poets will not have published a full collection before publication by Three Pillars Press. We are looking for new and innovative approaches to both theme and form. We believe that a proactive approach to diversity and inclusivity is important. As such, we strongly encourage submissions by writers from every background, and especially encourage those from underrepresented areas of society to submit their work for consideration.
The Publication Process
-
Each pamphlet will consist of 20-25 pages of poetry.
-
There will be two submission periods per years - Jan-Feb, and Jul-Aug. As 2026 is the press's first year, there will only be one, in Jan-Feb 2026.
-
Three Pillar Press editors will blind-read all submissions and create a shortlist of ten.
-
The shortlist of ten will be judged by an established poet of international reputation.
-
The judge will select an overall winner, and a runner-up. Both of these will be published by the Press.
-
The winner will receive a prize of €250 and 10 copies of their manuscript. Additional copies will be available to the author at a discounted rate.
-
The runner-up will receive a prize of €150 and 10 copies of their manuscript. Additional copies will be available to the author at a discounted rate.
-
The winners will be expected to attend launches and readings as required.
-
Three Pillars Press will promote all books through selected literary festivals and readings in Ireland, in bookshops and libraries where possible, and on-line.
